¿QUIEN ES LUIS ALVAREZ DE LUGO? (WHO IS LUIS ALVAREZ DE LUGO?)
Another extraordinary success was recently achieved by the “Sans Souci” Gallery, when it exhibited the latest works of the well-known Caracas painter Luis Alvarez de Lugo. He is a realist par excellence and a lover of Nature, for through it he captures on his canvases a vision of all those beautiful things he finds in our Venezuelan landscape; from the humility of the peasant in his small conuco to the majesty of the Avila in all its splendor. His paintings reflect that entire range of brilliant coloring of the Venezuela of yesterday and today, the beauty of its flora, the plains, the mountains, its rivers, streets, and typical scenes, daily sights for all of us which, upon seeing them on his canvases, make us realize his fine psychology, his exceptional draftsmanship, the strength of his palette knife and brush, which, handled with the mastery that characterizes him, result in that harmony of exuberant color and great plastic force reflected in all his works. ★

¿QUIEN ES LUIS ALVAREZ DE LUGO?
Otro éxito extraordinario se anotó recientemente la Galería “Sans Souci”, cuando expuso en ella sus últimas obras, el conocido pintor caraqueño Luis Alvarez de Lugo, quien es un realista por excelencia y amante de la Naturaleza, pues a través de ella plasma en sus lienzos una visión de todo ese conjunto de cosas bellas que encuentra en nuestro paisaje venezolano; desde la humildad del campesino en su pequeño conuco hasta la majestuosidad del Avila en todo su esplendor. Sus pinturas reflejan toda esa gama de brillante colorido de la Venezuela de ayer y de hoy, la belleza de su flora, el llano, la montaña, sus ríos, calles y escenas típicas, vistas a diario por todos nosotros y que al verlas en sus telas, nos damos cuenta de su fina sicología, de las excepcionales condiciones de dibujante que posee, la fuerza de su espátula y pincel, que manejados con la maestría que le caracteriza, dan como resultado esa armonía de exuberante colorido y gran fuerza plástica que reflejan todas sus obras. ★
