Article: The Venezuelan painter Luis Alvarez de Lugo showed at the Embassy of the United States a portrait of President Kennedy, made in oil, with the palette knife and brush technique.
The portrait of Kennedy, which was praised by Mr. Robert Cross, Cultural Attaché of said embassy, had already been exhibited in the Armando Reverón Hall in the last fortnight of last May.
The painter Alvarez de Lugo, who has already presented several exhibitions of paintings in the country, has studied at the School of Plastic Arts of Caracas and later followed a specialization course at the Famous Artists Course of Westport, Conn., of three years duration, starting in 1958.

El cuadro de Kennedy que fue elogiado por el señor Robert Cross, Agregado Cultural de dicha embajada, ya había sido expuesto en la Sala Armando Reverón en la última quincena de mayo pasado.
El pintor Alvarez de Lugo que presentó ya varias exposiciones de cuadros en el país, ha estudiado en la Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Caracas y luego siguió un curso de especialización en el Famous Artists Course de Westport, Conn., de tres años de duración, a partir de 1958.
