1st EXHIBITION OF BULLFIGHTING PAINTINGS IN VENEZUELA
“Delantal del Diamante” (The Diamond’s Apron), a work by Alvarez de Lugo, one of those that will be in the exhibition.
For the benefit of the San Juan de Dios Hospital and under the auspices of the Spanish Tourism Office, from the coming September 29th until October 9th, the First Exhibition of Bullfighting Paintings in Venezuela will be held at the headquarters of the aforementioned diplomatic office, located in the Lex Building on Avenida Libertador.
The organizer of this important artistic-cultural event, Mr. Carlos Serfaty Borges, has announced that there will be approximately 50 works by painters of recognized prestige, such as José Puente, Alvarez de Lugo, and Félix Mas, which visitors will be able to purchase. The proceeds will be donated to contribute to the charitable purposes of the Ladies’ Committee of the San Juan de Dios Hospital, presided over by Mrs. María Luisa Blanco Sosa de Branger Capriles. Additionally, Serfaty indicated that during the “vernissage” (opening reception), a painting donated by the painter Flor Adela Coll will be raffled.
Finally, the organizer stated that invitations are circulating throughout the Republic, and they expect the exhibition to be a total success.

1° EXPOSICION DE CUADROS TAURINOS EN VENEZUELA
“Delantal del Diamante” obra de Alvarez de Lugo, una de las que estarán en la exposición.
A beneficio del Hospital San Juan de Dios y bajo los auspicios de la Oficina Española de Turismo, a partir del venidero 29 de septiembre y hasta el 9 de octubre se montará la Primera Exposición de Cuadros Taurinos en Venezuela, en la sede de la citada dependencia diplomática, que está ubicada en el Edificio Lex, de la Avenida Libertador.
El organizador del importante acontecimiento artístico-cultural, Sr. Carlos Serfaty Borges, ha anunciado que serán aproximadamente 50 obras de pintores de reconocido prestigio, como José Puente, Alvarez de Lugo y Félix Mas, las que podrán adquirir los visitantes, cuyo producto será donado para contribuir a los fines benéficos del Comité de Damas del Hospital San Juan de Dios, que preside la Sra. María Luisa Blanco Sosa de Branger Capriles. Además señaló Serfaty que en el “vernissage” se rifará un cuadro obsequiado por la pintora Flor Adela Coll.
Finalmente dijo el organizador, que las invitaciones están circulando en toda la República por lo que esperan que la exposición resulte un total éxito.
